Adam Lasus – Producer/Engineer
In 1997 Adam Lasus relocated to Brooklyn and started his new studio Fireproof Recording, a unique studio in a 1800’s Firehouse. Prior to that Adam owned Studio Red in Philadelphia from 1990-96 where he produced more than 35 records, including Helium’s “Dirt Of Luck” (Matador), Gigolo Aunts “Flipping Out” (RCA) and Madder Rose “Bring It Down” (Atlantic). Since the birth of Fireproof, Adam has worked with PJ Harvey, J. Mascis, Amy Ray, Joan Jett, Clem Snide, Ween, and many others.
Adam produced,engineered and mixed the debut breakout record by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Blender magazine put the CYHSY record in the top 100 greatest indie rock albums ever made.
Adam has also worked with Paul Kolderie (Radiohead, Hole), Nick Brine (Oasis,Teenage Fanclub), Mitch Easter (REM, Pavement), Pat McCarthy (U2, Madonna, Counting Crows), and John Siket (Sonic Youth, Soul Asylum).
